Review: Admirals Club DFW Terminal B

Main space of Admirals Club DFW Terminal B

Since getting my Citi Executive card in March 2024, I’ve been making an effort to visit the Admirals Club at DFW Airport every time I fly. Prior to having that card, I only frequented Admirals Clubs when flying on flights that qualified me to enter or me tagging along with a coworker with access. Because of that, I’ve mostly visited the Admirals Clubs at Terminal A and Terminal D at DFW Airport. This is a long way of saying that I haven’t ever been in Terminal B’s Admirals Club until I got the Citi Executive card, haha.

How to get into Admirals Club DFW Terminal B

To access the Admirals Club at DFW Terminal B, there are a few options. The main way I get in is through my Citi AAdvantage Executive credit card, which includes Admirals Club membership.

For others, you have to fall under one of these access rules:

  • You have an Admirals Club membership and a boarding pass for same-day travel
  • *You are flying First or Business Class on a qualifying international, transcontinental, or domestic route
  • *You are Executive Platinum, Platinum Pro, or Platinum and are flying on a qualifying international flight
  • *You are non-AAdvantage oneworld Emerald or Sapphire

*Latest info and details can always be found at AA’s website. There are nuances and fine print so be sure to read them!

Additionally, you could pay $79 or 7900 AAdvantage miles for a day pass assuming the lounge is not full.

I will also say that this is like the Yacht Protocol: you don’t have to own the yacht—you just need to be friends with someone who has the yacht. Maybe you can get in as someone’s guest! Good luck making friends with fellow passengers who have access! 😬

Either way, you will check into the lounge through the agents at the desk upon entering the lounge via scanning your boarding pass or paying the day pass fee.

Nonrev Note: If a nonrevenue standby passenger has an Admirals Club membership via the normal membership or the Citi Executive card, they have access. Just need to scan the priority verification pass and maybe show evidence of membership.

Admirals Club DFW Terminal B Location

Admirals Club DFW Terminal B Front Entrance
Luckily it’s the only entrance-looking place on the wall

The Admirals Club at DFW Terminal B sits between gates B3 and B4. But it is awkwardly located in the terminal connector hallway between Terminal B and Terminal D.

Assuming you’re coming from the security checkpoint at B10 or the SkyLink station, walk towards gate B3. You’ll turn a corner from the terminal to the connector, and the entrance will be on the right.

Admirals Club DFW Terminal B Hours

This DFW Terminal B Admirals Club is open from 5:30AM to 10:15PM. This is slightly narrower hours versus the main Admirals Clubs at Terminals A, C, and D.

The bar opens at 7:00AM and closes …sometime (I have not verified when the bar closes).

Avocado toast station is open during breakfast hours, and guacamole station is open during the day. I have not verified the specific hours, but from previous experience at other DFW Admirals Clubs, the guacamole station opens at 7:00AM.

Admirals Club DFW Terminal B Layout and Spaces

Admirals Club DFW Terminal B Main Space
Contrary to the picture…it is not symmetrical

As far as layout and spaces go, this Admirals Club is generally one large rectangular-ish shape with various subdivided seating areas and amenities. Most of the lounge is lined with windows on one side that have views of the adjacent gates.

Upon walking through the sliding doors, the first thing you see is the customer service desk for checking into the Admirals Club and the agents.

Going to the right of the desk are some seating areas including a quiet(er?) space and the business center.

Admirals Club DFW Terminal B Food and Drinks

In 2024, it seems as though the Admirals Clubs started doing a better job of increasing the food quality as well as rotating food on a more regular basis.

Generally, Admirals Clubs offer hot foods, cold foods, snacks, and drinks. This Admirals Club is no exception.

When I visited this lounge for this review in December 2024, it was early in the morning so the offerings were as such:

  • Hot foods
    • Oatmeal with toppings
    • Egg and sweet potato hash
    • Pork BBQ
  • Cold Foods
    • Yogurts
    • Overnight oats (chocolate banana)
    • Mixed fruit
    • Salad
    • Hardboiled eggs: unseasoned whole, and seasoned halves
  • Fruits
    • Bananas
    • Oranges
    • Apples
  • Breads
    • Raspberry danish
    • Chocolate croissant
    • Muffins
    • English muffins
    • Bagels
    • Spreadables: jams, peanut butter, cream cheese, butter
  • Cereal
    • Lucky Charms
    • Cheerios
    • Granola

Another typical staple in the morning is the avocado toast station as mentioned above. At this station, you can get an avocado toast customized with your toppings from a selection that is available. During the day, the Admirals Club does a guacamole station. Neither of these were available at the time of my visit in December 2024.

I should reiterate that the foods available do rotate every quarter (I think) so the food above may not be represented in the future. However, there will always be hot foods, cold foods, breads, and cereal.

Admirals Club DFW Terminal B Coffee and Tea
I once taught an elderly passenger how to use this machine at this very spot

As far as drinks go, these are what’s available regardless of the time of day:

  • Drip coffee
  • Espresso machines
  • Tea bags
  • Hot chocolate mix
  • Condiments like cream, sugar, honey, etc
  • Orange juice (for breakfast…unsweetened tea during the day)
  • Ice water
  • Infused ice water

The bar also offers a selection of basic cocktails, beers, and wines that are complimentary.

Make sure to pay attention to what is complimentary because…I have been charged for not paying attention lol

More premium drinks cost money. I’ve found that Admirals Clubs tend to also feature a specialty cocktail representative of the local area, both in premium drink and complimentary drink.

Oooh la la–maybe I’ll try it one day

During my visit in December 2024, I loaded up on the complimentary stuff! Haha

Admirals Club DFW Terminal B Restrooms and Shower

There is only one set of restrooms for the Admirals Club DFW Terminal B as well as only one shower. They are located in a branching hallway to the left of the front desk behind the food and also connected to the bar area.

For the men’s restroom, there are two stalls and three urinals as well as two sinks. Not a very big restroom, but suffices for the size of the lounge.

I did not utilize the shower, but I assume it is equipped with a shower, towels, toilet, and sink with some amenities like other Admirals Club showers.

Admirals Club DFW Terminal B WiFi

The Admirals Club offers free WiFi, but it is password-protected. At the front desk and scattered throughout the lounge are business cards that have the current password. The password rotates every quarter (I think) and usually highlights something new happening with the airline like new destinations.

Admirals Club DFW Terminal B Business Center

The only speciality area that the Admirals Club DFW Terminal B has is the business center. It is located to the right of the front desk and at the end of the hallway.

There are multiple cubicles available with plugs for charging laptops and devices. I found that two cubes contain Mac workstations.

Two conference rooms are available for booking, and these are adjacent to the cubicles.

Honestly who even uses these? lol

A printer/fax machine is also available for printing and faxing. Instructions are on a sign next to the machine.

Admirals Club DFW Terminal B Vibe and Atmosphere

Because this is Terminal B where American Airlines has some regional operators as well as mainline flights serving smaller markets, the Admirals Club at Terminal B has its own unique vibe versus the other lounges in the other terminals. Because of this, the passengers in this lounge are not going to be the ones traveling on long-haul international flights nor are they

Because of its setup and decor, it feels a little bit more living room-like, but the living room is your aunt and uncles’ den from the 1990’s or early 2000’s with its medium-colored wood panels and faux leather covers. I find it to be cozy!

What You Can Do In Admirals Club DFW Terminal B

For fun, here’s an example itinerary of you can do in this Admirals Club if you’ve got a spare hour:

  • Check in and say hi to the staff
  • Find a seat and drop off your bags
  • Grab food from the hot/cold stations, and stop by the avocado toast/guacamole station
  • Grab a complimentary drink from the bar
  • Bring it back to your seat and enjoy
  • Connect to the free WiFi to work or leisurely browse
  • Watch aircraft push out of or pull in to the adjacent gates
  • Close up shop, leave, then go to gate

Conclusion

DFW Terminal B’s Admirals Club is a great option to lounge around in if you have a flight departing from a nearby gate. It provides all the basics, has decent views, and feels cozier than some of the other Admirals Clubs at DFW. Considering it is one of two Admirals Clubs with actual views of aircraft (the other being Terminal D), I’d choose this for the views over aesthetic and vibe. It is a little out of the way since the other clubs (except Terminal E) are relatively close to a security checkpoint or SkyLink station.

Overall, this is not a bad option if you have the time!

Have you been to the Admiral’s Club in Terminal B before? What did you think? Lemme know down in the comments!
